The Story behind - SHELDON – ECC’s Turtle Mascot
His name is Sheldon and he is the mascot for Exceptional Care for Children! The children of ECC chose him because as a turtle he has a lot in common with ECC.   First, he has a strong shell, which gives him a safe place to call home.   It’s symbolic of the facility for the kids at ECC!   Exceptional Care is like his shell and it is definitely a safe and beautiful home. Second, just like the kids, sometimes it takes him a little bit longer to get where he is headed, but with the right support and the love of our friends and families, the kids and he will get there!!
